THE TEAM

Doncaster College Deaf FC

Founded 2000

Doncaster started with a small number of players, however within the past 3 years the number of men and women playing has grown quickly, now with both 11 a-side and 5 a-side teams competing regularly. This season we also have managed to form a men's 2nd team due to the interest of younger players and new students.

The men's 1st team is currently playing in the Doncaster & District Senior League Division One, where we have improved our position steadily and hope to finish higher this year than ever before.

The College football academy is also a great asset to the team. Players who are involved gain more experience by playing with different people both hearing and Deaf, and by competing weekly in a college league. Many of our players are also currently playing for both the England and Great Britain National Deaf Squads.

Doncaster had a fantastic 2002-2003 season winning the BDSC National Football Cup, and also taking part in their first International tournament in Paris, where they achieved 1st place, as well as a lot of pride for the club. The ladies team also travelled to Paris where they came 2nd.

The club are hoping to achieve more this year, and spread the word for Doncaster within the Deaf football world. With the help of our International contacts and friends, so much more is possible.

With continued support from everyone connected with the club, things can only get better.

College Academy

Doncaster College for the Deaf has a fantastic football academy, they have training every week and matches every Wednesday afternoon.

A link will be coming soon to keep you updated of Doncaster's progress and future match fixtures.
