Hair & Beauty

City & Guilds NVQ Levels 1-3

These courses are undertaken in the College's own modern, fully-fitted salon and give students all the skills, experience and qualifications necessary to become practising hairdressers or Beauty Therapists.

There are no formal entry qualifications required, but applicants to the course should have a friendly and caring disposition. Coursework is balanced between theory and practise, with work experience in salons and with members of the public as an integral part of the course.

Assertiveness sessions are also included into the course content giving the students opportunities to explore their feelings and deal with difficult situations which may arise whilst out on work placement.
