Edexcel 'Skills for Working Life' & NVQ Level 2

The Edexcel course is an Entry Level 3 qualification which can be achieved within the first year of studies. It will include periods of work placement to show employers the skills and knowledge achieved.

The NVQ is studied during the second and third year, and leads to a professional qualification.

Candidates learn all aspects of the trade including:

Hot and cold water systems
Copper pipe work and plastic fittings
Installation work
Health and safety
Access equipment

All learners are encouraged to achieve basic levels of literacy, numeracy and assistive technologies.
